Zazie Beetz

Hairstylist Lacy Redway is the woman behind Beetz’s bouncy curls. “Zazie’s hair for her first Oscars was inspired by Eartha Kitt,” Redway said, referencing the iconic singer’s updo and bangs. “I wanted to keep the look authentic to Zazie and really showcase her natural texture.” Redway didn’t use a ton of product outside of the Nexxus Comb Thru Finishing Mist because she wanted her hair to feel light and airy.

Makeup artist Tyron Machhausen crafted the ultimate smokey eye with a simple glossed lip.

Janelle Monae

Lashes, lashes, lashes. Makeup artist Jessica Smalls used three sets of Lashify lashes to achieve these enviable eyes. The red lip perfectly complements Monae’s custom bedazzled Ralph Lauren gown.

Billy Porter

The category is…Billy Porter continually killing it on the red carpet. The actor opted for a deep part and glowing skin. “After seeing Billy’s incredible gown, I was inspired to highlight his complexion and embrace the opulence that is Billy Porter,” said celebrity makeup artist for elf Cosmetics Anna Bernabe. “To keep with the royalty theme, we wanted his beautiful facial structure to shine through so we used radiating products that complimented and accentuated his natural complexion.” 10! 10! 10!

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s nails might just be the best beauty look of the night. The classic black long acrylics have a small crystal at each tip, the perfect nail art to accept an award. (Nominees take note.)
The Grammy award winner also pinned back her green mullet with a gorgeous Chanel double-C embellishment and long scarf.

Lily Aldridge

Lily Aldridge is here to remind us all that a red lip is always a good idea. The middle part, perfectly groomed brows, clean skin, and pop of color are what winter makeup dreams are made of.

Beanie Feldstein

Here lives photo evidence of the perfect Hollywood glam waves. “The inspiration for Beanie’s Oscars look was 1950s glamour,” says stylist Bobby Eliot. “The dress is a custom Miu Miu and it has a classic 1950’s silhouette, so we wanted the hair to compliment the dress and give it a regal 1950’s classic Hollywood feel.”

Saoirse Ronan

Ronan is here to answer your most-pressing hair question: Should you get bangs? Yes, and bring this photo to the salon for inspiration.

Sandra Oh

“Sandra Oh looks gorgeous with the help of Suave tonight,” said Peter Butler, the man behind her curly braid updo.”I am thrilled with her look of volume and texture.” For all the curly haired people of the world, this sleek ‘do is a wonderful option for a chic and classy twist.

Cynthia Erivo

The hair, the nails, the smoky eye, oh my! Erivo looked flawless on the red carpet in an all-white look. Elsa could never.
